Savers who have been in the MyCTSavings program for at least 180 days will have their savings contribution rate automatically increased by 1% in the first week of January of each year, up to a maximum of 10%. For example, if your contribution rate is currently 5%, on January 1st it would increase automatically to 6% in the first year, 7% in the second year, and so on, unless you choose otherwise. Savers will receive a reminder notification about the January increase each December.
If now's not the right time to increase your contributions, you can always turn off the annual automatic increases by accessing your account settings online or by calling the customer service center. If you want to participate in automatic increases later, you can always turn it back on.
